Jacket Readers Rock!

Please do your part to help us with Book Care in the WISD Media Center.

1) Always keep books dry and clean.
2) Return the books when they are due.
3) Use a bookmark to help keep pages looking neat.
4) Shelve AR books in the correct spot with the spine out.
5) Notify Mrs. Lowrie or Mrs. Kysar if your book is in need of repair.

Student Materials are now Due:  Please return all student materials to the WISD Media Center at this time.  Please also take care of any lost book fines that you may have.  It has been a great year!

Special Thanks to Mrs. Luisa Coe:  Mrs. Coe, a special friend to WISD recently donated $200.00 to the Media Center to purchase new books.  Thank you so much!

Box Tops for Education – It was an awesome Box Top Year!  As a school, we collected 23,405 Box Tops.  We raised over $2000.00 to purchase new books!  Way to to go Jackets!

Our overall classroom winners were:  1st Place - Mrs. Sulfridge (5th), 2nd Place - Mrs. Harrison (2nd), 3rd Place - Mrs. Reed (3rd).

Please continue to save Box Tops throughout the summer. We will have another Box Tops for Books contest next school year.

Available Resource - Our school has a subscription to the TumbleBookLibrary. TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.  Stop by the WISD Media Center for login information.
