There is "Snow" Better Time
to be a Jacket Reader!

Please do your part to help us with Book Care in the WISD Media Center.

1) Always keep books dry and clean.
2) Return the books when they are due.
3) Use a bookmark to help keep pages looking neat.
4) Shelve AR books in the correct spot with the spine out.
5) Notify Mrs. Lowrie or Mrs. Kysar if your book is in need of repair.

Scholastic Book Fair Update: Thank you to everyone for your participation in our Scholastic Book Fair.  It was a huge success!  We earned over $1600 in free materials for our school.   Way to Go Jackets!

Special Thanks to the Williamsburg PTO Recently, the Williamsburg PTO generously donated $600.00 to the WISD Media Center to purchase new books.  This money was raised through the Breakfast with Santa Activity in December.  We appreciate the support!

Box Tops for Education – We are off to our best start ever with our Box Top Contest! Classes (P-6) are competing for a classroom treat after each collection date. There will also be overall winners at the end of the year. Our school goal is to collect 25,000 box tops!

Presently, we have 14,803 Box Tops.  The Top 3 Classrooms during our 2nd collection were:  Mrs. Reed's 3rd grade, Mrs. Higginbotham's 2nd grade & Ms. Power's Kindergarten.   Congratulations and please keep bringing in those Box Tops! Our next collection will be Tuesday, March 11th...

Available Resource - Our school has a subscription to the TumbleBookLibrary. TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.  Stop by the WISD Media Center for login information.
