Jacket Readers Rock!

Please do your part to help us with Book Care in the WISD Media Center.

1) Always keep books dry and clean.
2) Return the books when they are due.
3) Use a bookmark to help keep pages looking neat.
4) Shelve AR books in the correct spot with the spine out.
5) Notify Mrs. Lowrie or Mrs. Kysar if your book is in need of repair.

Overdue Student Materials:  Several students have overdue books and/or fines. Please take care of these before the end of the school year.

Box Tops for Education – Thank you for your participation in our Box Tops for Books Contest.  Winners for our 3rd collection will be announced soon.  Please keep saving those Box Tops!!  Our final collection for this school year will be on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015.  Check out the bulletin board in the WISD Media Center for our yearly leaders.

Available Resources - Our school has a subscription to the TumbleBookLibrary. TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.  Stop by the WISD Media Center for login information.

 Check it out!   www.tumblebooklibrary.com

The WISD Media Center also has an online subscription to the Kentucky Virtual Library. This database has access to numerous online resources.   Stop by the WISD Media Center for a KYVL Quick Reference Guide which contains username and password information.
