LOUISVILLE, KY-Williamsburg High School's track and field teams delivered outstanding performances at the KHSAA Class A Indoor Track & Field State Championship held in Louisville, Kentucky on March 3, 2026. The boys team placed 6th overall while showcasing exceptional talent across multiple events. The boys team finished with 6 podium finishes. Zyler Housekeeper earned the state championship in pole vault with an impressive 13-00 vault, cementing himself as one of the top competitors in the state. Lane Jeffries demonstrated versatility by placing 3rd in both the 55 Meter Hurdles and Triple Jump, while Chase Meddles placed 6th in Long Jump and Ethan Moses placed 7th in Pole Vault. The boys 4×400 Meter Relay team, comprised of Gary Tye, Eli Meadors, Chase Meddles, and Zyler Housekeeper, finished 5th and set a new Williamsburg High School Boys indoor track and field school record.
The girls team also turned in great performances throughout the championship. Bella Jeffries placed 13th in Triple Jump, while Savannah Dabney competed in two events, placing 15th in Triple Jump and 21st in Long Jump. Braylee Evans rounded out the girls' contributions with a 22nd place finish in Long Jump. Both the boys and girls teams are to be commended for their dedication, skill, and sportsmanship throughout an exceptional indoor track and field season.
