WILLIAMSBURG, KY-Originally from Elizabeth, New Jersey, Coach Baskett brings a strong background in both playing and coaching the game of baseball. A graduate of Elizabeth High School, he was a four-year varsity starter before continuing his playing career at Union College of New Jersey and the University of Delaware.

Before coming to Williamsburg, Coach Baskett spent four seasons as an assistant coach with the Elizabeth Minutemen and has served the past four summers as an assistant coach for the Randolph Chiefs of the MCBL Collegiate Summer Baseball League.

Many of our Jacket families already know Coach Baskett from his role as the Jackets' pitching coach this past season, where he quickly built meaningful relationships with our players and school community. In addition to coaching, he served as a substitute teacher during the school year, taking pride in mentoring students and sharing positive advice and life lessons both in the classroom and on the field.

Coach Baskett is passionate about building a baseball program centered on hard work, discipline, accountability, and family. Since arriving in Williamsburg, he has been incredibly grateful for the relationships he has built and has found a true home away from home.

He is excited for the opportunity to lead the Jacket Baseball program and can't wait to get to work alongside his players, coaching staff, and the entire Jacket community. Congratulations, Coach Baskett, and welcome to your new role!
